R & M Service Company completed one of the largest intumescent coating projects in Texas and the largest of its kind in the Houston area. Thermal Energy Corporation or TECO was a project we completed in conjunction with general contractor Burns & McDonnell. TECO provides heating and cooling to a large portion of the Houston Medical Center. R & M applied over 20,000 gallons of intumescent coating over three football field sized floors of structural steel columns and beams to provide the necessary fire rating and provide a unique aesthetic appeal that intumescent coating affords.
